What does it mean to be a volunteer?
It means that you’re putting your enthusiasm, time and compassion to excellent use. You’re helping men, women and children from around the world who are suffering and distressed. And you’re making a real difference to the lives of ordinary people caught up in extraordinary, life-threatening situations.
Raising funds for IRF is a great way to get involved. What’s more, you can do it within your own area. Perhaps you’d like to organise a raffle at your local school, or a special charity dinner. Or maybe you could spread the word about IRF by helping out with one of our information campaigns.
However you decide to help, we’ll be there to support you. And we’re happy to provide plenty of resources, such as literature about our work.
I want to volunteer, what is next ?
You have taken the first important decision – that’s brilliant! We’d be more than happy to hear from you. We’ll listen to your fundraising ideas, however large or small size really doesn’t matter. We’re open to all offers of help, because we know that even small actions can bring huge benefits to suffering people around the world.
